Cead Mile Fáilte Romhat
Tá Gaeltacht na nDéise lonnaithe in oir-dheisceart grianmhar na tíre, suite cois mara le radharcanna den scoth timpeall gach cúinne. Is iad An Rinn agus an Sean Phobal an dá pharóiste sa Ghaeltacht bheag seo le timpeall 1,500 duine ag maireachtaint anseo. Tá cáil ar an áit don Ghaeilge ach taobh leis sin feictear grá sa cheantar don cheol agus amhránaíocht traidisiúnta a thugann beocht ar leith don dúthaigh.
Faightear seirbhísí éagsúla do chuairteoirí sa Rinn le dhá ché ann, ceann i mBaile na nGall agus in Heilbhic. Tá tránna den scoth againn chomh maith. Tá cuid den chósta seo faoi chosaint speisialta agus deiseanna go leor ag daoine gur suim leo an timpeallacht agus éanbhreathnú ach go háirithe.
Cuirfear fáilte mhór romhat chuig Gaeltacht na nDéise.
One Hundred Thousand Welcomes
Gaeltacht na nDéise is spectacularly located in Ireland's Sunny South East, with panoramic views of the atlantic. The Gaeltacht area consists of two parishes, An Rinn and An Sean Phobal and is spread across numerous townlands resulting in the absence of a clearly defined central point.
About 1500 people call this Gaeltacht home with many using Irish as their primary language. Coupled with a passion for the native language, is a deep love of traditional music and dance, which transcends all age groups and gives a cultural vibrancy to the community which is held dear.
The parish of An Rinn provides a range of visitor services with two active harbours, Helvick and Baile na nGall and a number of beautiful beaches. The neighbouring parish of An Sean Phobal consists of a dramatic seascape comprising of cliffs (approximately 70 m) together with a number of deeply incised stream gullies and small bays. The grassland along the cliffs attracts a wide variety of seabirds and is designated a special area of conservation. The area is a paradise for bird-watchers and people interested in nature.
