Is fianaise é ar an obair atá ar siúl againn le theaghlaigh i nGaeltacht na nDéise. Leagann muid an-bhéim ar imeachtaí do theaghlaigh agus tá tuiscint mhaith againn ar na riachtanais éagsúla a bhíonn ag teaghlaigh atá ag tógáil páistí le Gaeilge agus teaghlaigh ar foghlaimeoirí iad. Tá nasc láidir againn le Tuismitheoirí na Gaeltachta chomh maith leis an Oifigeach Pleanála Teanga i nDún Garbhán. Bhí an tOifigeach Pleanála Teanga, Tomás Ó hÓgáin agus an Bainisteoir Forbartha, Cabríní de Barra i láthair ar an Satharn chun glacadh leis an duais.
Comhlucht Forbartha na nDéise receives Award in Glór na nGael National Competition
On Saturday 14 September 2024 staff members from Comhlucht Forbartha na nDéise travelled to Croke Park to attend the award ceremony of the Glór na nGael National Competition. The Glór na nGael National Competition recognizes committees and associations that serve the Irish community and whose aim is to promote the language and culture. A prize fund of €70,000 was awarded to the winners of the Competition on the night.
Comhlucht Forbartha na nDéise is proud to have been awarded the second prize nationally in the Family Section as well as €2000. It is evidence of the work we are doing with families in Gaeltacht na nDéise. We place great emphasis on events for families and we have a good understanding of the different needs of families who are raising children with Irish and families who are learners. We have a strong link with Tuismitheoirí na Gaeltachta as well as the Language Planning Officer in Dún Garbhán.
The Language Planning Officer, Tomás Ó hÓgáin and the Development Manager, Cabríní de Barra were present on Saturday to accept the award. A video that outlines some of the different work we do through the Irish Language Plan for Gaeltacht na nDéise to promote the Irish language is available HERE. Some photos from the Awards Ceremony are available above.
