A Night of Celebration and Thanks
Former long-term board members and former managers of Comhlucht Forbartha na nDéise, the Language and Community Development company for Gaeltacht na nDéise, were invited to meet with the current board and staff of the company on Friday 13 September to celebrate the work of the company over the years. They had dinner together at the Whitehorses in Ardmore, followed by a presentation ceremony by the fire in the room behind the restaurant. A couple of people were absent on the night for various reasons, but it was a great opportunity to thank people for their work since Comhlucht Forbartha na nDéise started in 2005.
The event was organised to acknowledge the contributions of the following people: Úna de Paor; Cliona Mhic Giolla Chuda; Tadhg Ó Maoileoin; Ciarán Ó Gealbháin, Críostóir Ó Faoláin, Micheál Ó Drisleáin; Maria Mhic Craith and Liam Suipéil. The presentations were made by Jennifer Uí Dhuibhir, the current Chairperson, and Máire Seo Breathnach, who has been the Board Secretary since the beginning. The gifts were made locally by Criostal na Rinne.
