Fuinneamh In-athnuaite amach ón gCósta – Plean don Oirdheisceart

(English Below)
An tseachtain seo caite d’fhoilsigh an Roinn Comhshaoil, Aeráide agus Cumarsáide Plean Straitéiseach 90 leathanach do Cheantar Cósta agus Muirí (SC-MAP). Soláthraíonn an SC-MAP creat pleanála straitéiseach do thionscadail fuinnimh in-athnuaite amach ón gcósta in uiscí oirdheisceart agus theas na hÉireann.

An Plean

Tá an Plean ar fáil le híoslódáil ANSEO
Tá leagan comhdhlúite den phlean sin cruthaithe ag Cumann Tráchtála Dhún Garbhán & Iarthar Phort Láirge agus is féidir é a íoslódáil anseo:
Tá ceithre réimse muirí sainaitheanta ag an Roinn—A, B, C, agus D—le forbairt sna deich mbliana atá romhainn.
Tá limistéar A, atá suite thart ar 12.4 km ón gCósta an Chopair i gContae Phort Láirge, dírithe le haghaidh forbartha faoi 2030. Dá n-éireodh le ceant agus forbairt a dhéanamh ar an gceantar seo, d’fhéadfadh sé bheith ina óstach do thart ar 60 tuirbíní gaoithe 15 MW, ag cur 900 MW leis an acmhainn iomlán. Is féidir go bhféadfaí na tuirbíní a fhorbairt thart ar 12 km ón gCósta an Chopair.

Offshore Renewable Energy – Plan for the South East

Last week the Department of Environment, Climate, and Communications published at 90-page Strategic Coastal and Maritime Area Plan (SC-MAP) . The SC-MAP provides a strategic planning framework for offshore renewable energy projects in the southeastern and southern waters of Ireland.

The Plan

The Plan is available to download HERE
The Dungarvan & West Waterford Chamber has created a condensed version of that plan which you can download here:
The Department has identified four maritime areas—A, B, C, and D—for development within the next decade.
Area A, located approximately 12.4 km from the Copper Coast in County Waterford, is targeted for development by 2030. This area if successfully auctioned and developed, could host approx. 60 no. 15 MW wind turbines, contributing 900 MW towards the total capacity. It is possible that the turbines could be developed approx 12 km from the Copper Coast.
